Am I right in assuming I'm NOT going to find 4 pints of milk (either branded or store's own) for cheaper than £1.00?

ASDA do 2 x 4pts for £2.00 (£1.18 each). The offer is printed on the labels, so should be safe from their usual "yo-yo" pricing. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

You may, but I've never seen it cheaper than £1.00 (Lidl and Aldi)0

I know this is a money saving site but this quest for the cheapest in everything is causing major problems for Farmers.
Cheap milk if sold as a loss leader by a Supermarket is fine as long as a fair price has been paid in the first place but if Farmers continue to receive a price less than the cost of production it can only lead to much higher prices in future as they go out of business.
I would rather pay 10 or 20p more at the present if it ensured long term stable prices.0 -
Iceland is £1 for 4pts. Aldi is 80-something but that is 2litres rather than 4pts so works out about the same per pt..0

And what happens when it spreads to other food items? Should we really offer to pay more so that farmers can be rich again?0
