Just bought a BTL and was wondering how to save on tax. We want to use tradesmen who we know who might not issue receipts. All furniture will have receipts. What exactly is counted as expenses on a tax return? Is it wear and tear and furnishings? What about travelling (petrol) costs to and from property? Would apprciate advice before using tradesmen.
