Equidebt

Hi, i got into debt back in 2002-03, my partner at the time bought a house and i got all the electrical goods, helped her buy a car etc, we split up not long after and i couldn't pay for everything, car got repossessed etc.
The last time i had contact with a debt company was December 03, basically i was young and stupid and ran away from it all, i have been on the voters role etc since 2006.
However last week i got a letter from Equidebt saying they where looking for me and to contact them if it was me or if i didnt live here to contact them to let them know, what do i do?
I am right in thinking my debts should be statute barred, they where all non secured but there was near 20k of them.
I have just recently moved back to my parents and got the letter redirected from my previous address, what do i do as if letters start to come here i will probably like the last time have to move again.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKS

check for CCJ's and check the credit reference agencies (all 3) get the credit files and check them. then proceed once you have all your information.

You can just get on with your life. There are unlikely to be any ccjs against you (but you should check) so any DCA that writes to you can have a statute barred letter as a response.
