My girlfriend was working for a firm and paying her pension.
Company went into receivership and she was informed she ad lost her pension and redundancy monies.
They said they had lost pension becouse the government would pay statortorie redundancy, but then 3 weeks after the receivership notifacation she got a letter saying if they`d had reclaimed her pension within 14 days of notifacation she would have got the money back. the letter stated it was not a legal obligation but a moral obligation to inform her. which they chose not do until after the 14 day period.
is there anything that can be done.
this goes back to 2003 though
regards
Daz

The Financial Assistance Scheme was set up to help people who lost pensions. It has just received a lot more money in the budget.
Get your girlfriend to check whether she is eligible for help: she may not have been before, but the new money may mean things will change.
