Overpayments

Hi Guys

Paperwork is buried deep in the garage somewhere so thought I would ask you knowledgeable folk.

Mortgage with Halifax, we are allowed to pay up to 10% of value overpayments per year penalty free, generally speaking, when making overpayments, is it 10% of current mortgage value or original amount and is it per calender year (jan to jan), per mortgage year (in my case aug to aug) or per rolling 12 months?

Its 10% of the current mortgage balance and my Halifax mortgage is 10% overpayment in any 12 month rolling period.
