But you don't have to remortgage - you can just go onto the SVR. Might not be as cheap as deals around at that point but still an option. Make sure you can afford it at its current rate and if it's risen by a few percent.0 -

Im hearing this on a couple of occasions....
Why would we not be able to remortgage???
Is there a history of people being trapped with their lender?..

A lot of people with mortgages taken out since the peak of the property market can't remortgage due to the initial deposit being wiped out by property price drops.0
