Hi all.
I have had a 25% ownership of a property in conjunction with a local housing association, started in 2005 - ended in 2008.
Does this small mortgage rule me out of the first time buyer bracket?
I am currently looking for a joint mortgage wit hmy wife.
The reason I am asking is my mortgage advisor / broker said I 'may' still be eligible as it was a certain amount of years ago??....
Any advice..
Thanks

Depends upon the policy of the bank you're borrowing from. What goes around - comes around0

You are not a First Time Buyer as this is not the first time you have bought. However, your broker is right, you will still qualify for FTB deals with some lenders due to the fact you havent had a mortgage for so long. Not really sure why your asking, or bothered about it though as your Broker seems to have everything under controlI am a Mortgage Adviser
