Shopping list
Cheese
Chopped tomatos
Tomatoe puree
Mushrooms
Onions
Some vegetables/salad of your choice to accompany some meals- HM fishcakes (using tin of tuna and potatoes) and frozen chips
- Ham,onion and mushroom omellete with frozen chips
- Corned beef hash
- Chicken with egg noodles (cook the chicken with soy sauce for flavour)
- Cheesy bacon chicken with salad or veggies (cut open raw chicken breast, stuff with cheese and then wrap in bacon and then foil then cook)
- Spaghetti bolognese
- Seafood pasta bake (mix tin of tuna, chopped tomatos, little tomato puree, and some prawns in with cooked pasta, top with cheese and grill till its melted)
- Rice and bean salad? (mix some rice - maybe both types you have for variety - with the various tins of beans you have, some chopped spring onions and maybe add some veggie stock for a bit of flavour?)
Thats all i can think of for now.0 -
Pizzas!
Seafood pizza. Homemade base which I imagine you have everything for, then a tin of tuna and some prawns.
We also put smoked salmon trimmings (about 1/5 pack so costing around 20p), mussels (the ones from asda which are 98p can be frozen and so I only use 1/5 of a pack and freeze the rest) and anchovies on mine but these aren't necessary. You'd only need to buy a tin of tomatoes and some cheese.
Or ham and pineapple pizza, or chicken/bacon and onion.
And chilli, with some rice, is calling out to me from your list.
Steak pie, chicken and bacon pasta (maybe with a lemon sauce or something), chicken pad thai (you'd need nam pla and beansprouts)0 -
and cod cooked in cream (and maybe some wine) with potatoes and green beans and asparagus.0

You could...
- 1 Chicken leg, broth mix and some noodles to make a chicken soup.
- Using lamb mince and lasagne sheets to make cannelloni.
- Egg and chips (YUM - sorry)
- Chicken breast and noodles to make chicken chow mein (and any left over veg.)
- Chicken legs and paella rice to make a baked chicken and rice one pot with some veg and stock and a tin of baked beans tipped in perhaps. I love this recipe of queen delias, sort of thinking of an improvised version of that.

Moussaka with the lamb, you could top with aubergine or use a tattie hot pot type topping that works well too (guess who forgot to buy aubergines)?.
Prawns in a stir fry with the veg & use the noodles.
Tins of tuna to make salad Nicose (my favourite) & uses some of the eggs too.0 -
I love all these ideas - thank you - I am going to try and use up the contents of my freezer now aswell!Lydia

3 bean chilli. I'd adapt to add green beans and rinse and add the bean salads.
Lentils and eggs can be used in this delicious Delia curry. I adapt it to suit whatever spices I have.
