How are you having your wedding hair?

I'm working through my ''to do'' list and trying to get a collection of photos together for my hair trial. I have been growing my hair and it is just about touching my shoulders so still quite short...I know I want it down and curly to go with my small tiara but finding pictures is hard! They are all up-do's or long hair curls....Not finding this search easy!

So how are you having your hair? And by any chance does anyone have any pictures of what I described above? :)

I went with my Daughter last week for her hair trial. We took loads of photos with us, but the hairdresser was on the ball and we didnt need the photos. I guess if your hairdresser is old school (ie trained more than 12 months) she will help you more than photos would.
I have a link somewhere in our wedding folder I will look it out for you.

PS My Daughter ended up having 5 styles done we chose the 3rd one in the end.

Good luck and remember to enjoy it xx

  • Thanks - these links are really handy for me as I have quite short hair and have been thinking what to do with it for the wedding.

I spent ages on the Internet looking for some inspiration for how to have my hair. When I saw my hairdresser, I said I wanted it up but quite simple and something that doesn't take too long doing. So she curled it and then pinned it up at the back, back combed a bit on top and swept my fringe back. Took about 30 mins and looked lovely. Maybe get a friend to have a play with it, until you find something you like and then take it to a hairdresser. Hope you find something :)

I'm another one who's trying to decide what to do with my hair for my wedding - I'm growing it out for travelling at the moment and keep seeing loads of pictures of girls with blunt chunky fringes and long (like past your shoulders long) wavy hair which I love, but I know I wouldn't want to wear it up for the wedding and am not sure that hair worn down would go with the style of dress I want. At the moment I'm leaning towards perhaps keeping the fringe but cutting my hair shorter and maybe getting something like a slight beehive and a really nice jewelled headband, but we'll see.

I agree though that the best thing to do is find a really good hairdresser and get them to suggest stuff - obviously take pictures to give them an idea of what you like if you want but equally they should know what will work for your hair type too. If you have a picture of your dress maybe take that as well so they can get an idea of whether a style will fit with the look of your dress.

There was a column in the Guardian the other week by their beauty writer where she said something about wedding make-up but I think it's applicable to all elements of your wedding look: The trick is to look like you, but at your most ravishing. I reckon stick to that sentiment and you won't go far wrong.

So how are you having your hair? :)

Sorry, so sorry, but my first thought was "on my flipping head!!"

Hope you have a great wedding and the hair turns out great.

I think shoulder length hair looks lovely with just a bit of a wave in it - like beach style waves? A bit like this, or the Kate Hudson pic here

I'll be having mine wavy but half up and half down.

I have no idea. I'm having a hair trial tomorrow with my hairdressers & will be taking photos to give to the hairdresser in Lindos. If they are any good i'll post them.
