Minimum employment time for mortgage

Options
Hi

Hope someone can give some advice. Me and my partner are both young as 21 and 22. We were wondering what the minimum amount of time in employment would be, 12/24/36 months of continuous employment etc? Also anyone around that is young that has been successful in gaining a mortgage?

Hope for some help and to hear from people that have been or are in a similar position.

Many thanks for any advice!

Any period of time really. You'll need a contract of employment, savings and some payslips.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Depends on the lender (im presuming your first time buyers), you will probably find 6 or 12 months, once you pass these milestones that you will have options available to you.
