Needing a Mortgage Broker, problems...

No my true details are recorded against the account, but they accepted it anyway. As you can imagine, I didn't have any income to pay the bill as I was still at school. I used to miss payment dates each and every time, I didn't realise at that age what harm it did. Now I suffer as a consequence of my actions, but I do hope to have the data removed as I could not have been in breach of contract, as under 18 years should not be able to agree a contract unless it's under certain circumstances and shopping accounts don't fall under those. I think there are some such as energy and so on that you can be held to.
Thanks :-/0 -
I think Next are as culpable as you as their application process is obviously up the spout if it accepted you, and as you say you can't enter into a legal agreement for that.
Tough lesson I'm afraid...0 -
You might struggle here. I imagine there will be ways and means to get a mortgage but i dont think it will be a walk in the park.
I think you need to actually go and see a mortgage advisor with a copy of your report - best to wait until after you have had the next ones removed from your file and its updated.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. That's if they do remove them, I will add that I got my Halifax Mortgage with the data from Next present, no problem there really.
Next have caused me no end of trouble, I was partly to blame but don't feel I was old enough to fully understand, but you never know what the FO will decide, they also said no to be with Santander and I was in the right that time too, just shows even if you are right you don't always succeed.0 -
