Wilkinsons 99% off overridden!

I picked up a couple of mugs marked at 75% off. When they were scanned they came up at 99% off, but the assistant overrode that and marked them back to 75% off. I'm now very annoyed with myself that I didnt argue with her to get the 99% off and grab the whole basket of mugs. Anyone know where I would stand legally. The mugs were price marked at £1.99 with a 75% off sticker.

You stand no where legally. Until they take your money they can charge what they want or refuse to sell it to you even.0
