I am not in debt but have lost 43k in the last 7 days, have done this previously (similar amount) and am very low (considering suicide). Have been saving really hard towards a deposit for a house and now its all gone. It will take me years to earn this (on a very low wage) and given my age (38) and the fact I have no friends, I feel like throwing the towel in.

Hang in there buddy, I know how you feel.
It is hardly worth giving up, look at the bright side you don't have any debts and if you could save up such an impressive amount in the first place, you can certainly do it again.
Now lets try and resolve this, one step at a time, do family and friends know about your problems? If not, maybe you want to discuss it with them and give them control over your finances in the short term.
Have you put a block on your computer? If not, do that as a matter of priority.
Secondly, have you self excluded yourself from casinos / bookies etc? You need to that ASAP.
Thirdly, you need to get help - Gamcare, GA etc
There is also a very good thread on here which supports people with gambling issues (ex and would be ex-gamblers support thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1090463).
Hang in there mate, it will pass and I am sure you will be able to rebuild your life. I have probably wasted insane amounts of money - savings and racked up thousands of pounds of debt, and am still fighting so hang in there.
If you wanna talk, just post here or PM me.

Always a big downer when you lose. Good side is you have no debt and you have saved this amount up in the past so can do it again.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

FTBMAN - I am sorry to here about your problems.
But consider this your lightbulb moment - if you choose to - then from today you are free - you never have to gamble again - you never have to feel the way you do again.
Download K9 - for free - and install it on your computer - all gambling sites blocked -
If its bookies you have a problem with - go in and get them to ban you - they will if you ask them.
Speak to somebody - Gamcare are very good - or search google - there is probably a group in your area.
Make this an opportunity to be free of it for ever -
I hope this doesnt sound like preaching - I havent had a bet for .. what .. 15 days - big deal - but I know I am done with it - I will never waste another penny of my money on such nonsense again.
You can do it - as MSE2011 said - if you ever need a chat then post here or PM.
Things can get better from this moment on.0
