Omega Watch James Bond 50th Anniversary Piece Ltd Edition £2400

Hello

Obviously this wont be for everyone, but If you like premium brand watches, this is a real saving.

RRP is £3200, best Uk online stockist I can find is £2965, so for £2400 I feel this is a bargain (if you can afford it)

Now the bad news, most Omega die hard fans think this is a offence against taste.

Limited to 11,007 pieces, which does not exactly make it limited edition.

I would never say this is an investment piece, but Omega resale strength is very high, and as you are saving £800, even after several years I would be suprised to see it sell for less than £2500 for a second hand one.

It is from a German Jewelers, so no import duty to find. If you are a Bond fan this is the ultimate gift surely?

The jeweler is a shop in Germany called Ralf Haffner

It wont let me post a link to the shop so you need to go to www watch de search for Omega Seamaster 007 James Bond 50th

Here you go................................And before all the wits or witless go to town on the price - no, its not the price of a Timex or an Accurist.

It's an Omega which is a quality brand so if your on benefits you need not apply for it....................Cue the - "outraged comments":D

It's a very good price for the model and it looks even better in the "flesh" so to speak.

I wish I had the money, mr meerkat would love it but he'll have to make do with the classic seamaster he already has, unless they'll do a trade in :(

You could always sell his Seamaster, the resale market on Omegas is incredibly strong at the moment. Omega have a very strong brand at present....

Do bear in mind that the hardcore element of Omega fans have called this watch a travesty because of the 007 across the dial, they feel the Omega's should always have a classic dial....

Of course there are also plenty who love this watch and are paying in excess of 3k for it.

Isn't it only since the resurrection of the Bond franchise that he's been wearing Omega? Did it not used to be Rolex in the "olden days"?

Being a Bond watch at this price, I would expect it to tell me more than the time and date. Where are the surface to air missles or the smoke canisters?!

Indeed, you either like premium watches or you dont, there seems to be no middle ground, I personally for one would not touch a watch with a "quartz" movement, these watches are these prices for a reason.

However I never understand how people can spend thousands on a piece of tin that does nothing buy eat money, and depreciate faster than concorde.

    Each to their own
