Pension Credit - Household income

I have a question regrading Pension Credit on behalf of a friend that hopefully someone can assist with. I would phone the Pension service but they are closed at the weekend and I'm away from Monday.
My friend is Married and claims pension credit, but also has his son living at home.
His son is just about to start full time employment (was previously unemployed), and he believes the income of his son will cause his pension credit to reduce.
My understanding is this is not the case, unless the son is contributing to his income (paying rent.) Is this the case?
I realise his son's income will affect other entitlements such as council tax/dental care etc, but what about pension credit?
Thanks in advance...

I think only in the case of a partner or spouse, not in the case of a son or daughter.
Don't know about the other things you mentioned.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

That's what I thought, he'll definitely have to check it out.
Thanks
