Unable to use Curry's voucher to purchase — buyer beware

The fridge I ordered online from Curry's before Christmas arrived damaged, and I had to send a dozen emails to Curry's for the problem to be rectified. They were really unprofessional. Eventually I was given a £20 gift voucher for my troubles.
Today, I found two items that I would like to purchase with the £20 "customer goodwill voucher" — a total of £19.99. Both items are in stock, and available for free home delivery.
But when I attempt to order, and enter my voucher number, I am told that it is not valid by the website.
Has anyone had similar problems?
I would go to the store, but neither are in stock at my local Curry's PC World, and the prices are better online.

You probably have. However have you tried to get the basket over £20. It might not accept it if the purchases are under £20.0

That would be sneaky of them, but nope, also didn't work:

Take them to a shop, quote the internet price and they should match it, simple.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

from past experience- they won't accept the voucher in store anyway. You got it online and would need to spend it there. The other thing I noticed with my voucher- it had a very specific timeframe for use. Mine wasn't for use right away funnily enough(because of the sale they had at that moment)
edit to add- also mine was for £50 but I had to spend £200 to be able to use it. Rip off reallyweight loss target 23lbs/49lb0
