The trouble is Graham there have always been people who cannot afford to buy a property and very rarely if ever has it been possible to save enough whilst supporting a family and paying rent.0 -

I really am not sure what you are going on about yes I think that there a lots of people in their mid to late 20s who earn above the 30% percentile and could buy in fact in lots of cases do buy.
If the average FTB is now 37 you have to ask yourself why that is not just complain about house prices.

Price is a hurdle but that is not what you said. you said that the reason the average age of a FTB is now 37 was because of house prices which it blatantly isn’t.
I have no vested interest and agree house prices are high but what I get fed up with is people whinging about houses being beyond the reach of almost everyone when they are clearly not.
