Insure or not?

We are currenctly on a DMP with CCCS and I wondered if anyone has advice about mortgage protection insurance and decreasing term life assurance, we currently have both and pay premiums of £75 per month. We are considering cancelling these to put the money to the DMP or make overpayments each month to our creditors. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Funnily enough, I'm having the same dilemma (not on a DMP though).
Cancelling mine would help balance the books (things are really tight as no pay rise for 3 years now & cost of everything has gone up so much) but my job's not particularly secure.
Also, I'd not be able to get another one, as there have been redundancies where I work so now wouldn't meet the "not knowing" question - so I've still got it.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
