Hi,
I was hoping for some advise in regards to a morgage.
Me and my partner are hoping to move house soon, we are currently renting but would love to buy.
In the current climate do you think it would be possible for us to get a mortgage based on the details below:
Me:
Poor credit (No defaults or CCJ, but missed payments last year between jobs)
Full time employed 35k
Also self employed earning around 27k a year from internet business.
Partner
Full time employed although on maternity leave, also has poor credit.
earns around 22k.
We have a deposit of around 15k. Looking for a mortgage of around 150k
Any help would much appreciated, I dont want to head down to the bank and make a fool of myself if there is no chance of us getting approved.

Do not got to bank.
Firstly get a copy of your Experian and Equifax reports and print them all up.
Take them to a broker, who has many more mortgages to select from and will determine if fesible or not.
From what you have said, you should be ok...I am a Mortgage Broker
