Anyone have any ideas why i'm being charged

interest on my current account??
Checking my online statement today and i notice there is a charge for nearly £7 for 'interest charge' !
Anyone have any ideas why on earth and what i'm being charged interest on or for??
I will call them later but wondered if it was something simple before i do......

    Did you go overdrawn?
  • Not last month or this one but was overdrawn the month of May, do you think it could be from as far back as that?

Assuming your statement doesn't run for a calendar month - were you overdrawn at some point on the statement that runs from May - June?
If so this would usually be charged in July.
