I am seeking advice/help as to the possibility of obtaining a very long term (?70 years+) mortgage so that my present annual rental outgoings remain within my capabilities to pay if I was to purchase a home.
Any useful help would be welcome ???

Never heard of this before in my life!!

The logest *to the best of my knowledge* you can take a mortgage out for is 35 years, with such lenders as Intelligant Finance.
The Uk seems to be hooked on a standard of 25 yrs, I know that in America this can be up to 50 years, but never heard of 70 years!
Good luck!

a lot of lenders *used* to work on premise that people would work till 65 max and so lend for a term as long as it ended before that date.0
