Hello all!
Recieved a letter from these guys today, no details of who the company are or what they do, just a my name and a reference number and me asking them to call them. from googling i ve found out they are a 'tracing' company for debt collectors, who by all accounts sound really dodgy
Without thinking and panicing I called the number on the letter, left a message on the answerphone that answered, all i said was i recieved the letter, gave my name, phone number and reference.
If its a genuine outstanding debt then i m more than happy to arrange to make payments to the DCA, however the more i read about Hillside the more dubious i feel about them!
Should I answer them if they call back or ignore the calls
any advice would be greatfully recieved

Are you aware of any outstanding debts?
If so what is the position with them? are you making any payments at all?
I wouldn't speak to them by the phone. If anything I would respond with the prove it letter.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
