I'm not sure which competition on the site you've entered but the digital camera one doesn't ask for any numbers (unless you talk about a telephone number).

Went onto the win a bike comp and it did ask for a batch code so just typed some numbers like Compmls and it accepted it but whether it enters me into the comp I dont know. It did not ask me for an answer for a question though. lol
