Dell 36 month Guarantee £69.33

Just had phone call from India re taking out 36 month half-price guarantee on my £163 Dell that I bought in November 2004. The 36 months would start today & go to March 2008. Said he worked for Dell. What do Techies think or is it a con or is it for another board?
Nice to save.

It's not really a techie question so I'm going to move it to "Anything Else" boardTorgwen..........

I would be very wary of anything like this over the phone. Surely Dell would have informed you of any guarantee when you bought the goods? If you got a computer (you don't say what you bought) at that price, is it really worth paying any extra for a guarantee anyway?Torgwen..........
