Loan help please
Hi I Have in the past been fairly stupid with my finances mainly due to car racing, holidays and giving my partner everythinmg she has wanted. Now the bank has sent me a letter to see them regarding a loan to cosoladate all my debts (mostly on my credit card).
I have never yet (touch wood) gone overdrawn or missed a payment.
I have a credit car with a limit of £8.7k
Overdraft limit of £2k
Flexiloan limit of over £3k
The loan they have offered me is for £8k at 7.6% (the total amount that I owe)
At first the bosshogs said yes however they wanted to close ALL the above however the girl who served me was very nice and managed to get them to keep the c/card open with a £2k limit and an overdraft limit of £1k.
Is this the best solution?
Would this look bad on my credit report?
I was going to buy a flat abroard with my friend, £1.5k each. (to let) I can raise £1k in cash by the end of this month would it be silly to take £500 out of the bank now and add it on to the loan as I haven't said yes yet?
Any help would be nice.
P.S. The bank is HSBC
