Waitrose '10% off every time you shop' (until 12.8.2013)

Mrs Roger had a nice surprise in today's snailmail - a letter from WR enclosing a card offering '10% off every time you shop' until 12.8.2012.
Mainline stores, very few restrictions.
The card is marked 'Exclusively for Mrs [Roger]'. I thought this might mean that only one of us would be shopping for the next month, but no, as a spouse I qualify.

ETA: SORRY - typo in thread title. It only lasts until 12.8.2012 (but still nice).

I hope I get one of these.. does Mrs Roger have a myWaitrose card ?0

No, that's the surprising thing, nor has she bought online.
OTOH, I've bought wine from WR online, but no card for me. But I can use her card.0 -
I've also been sent a Waitrose card, but was disappointed that yesterday I couldn't use it in the Boots Waitrose store. I'd assumed I'd been sent the card because I have a Boots card, so now I'm wondering why I was sent the card? How did they get my details? I've never bought from Waitrose online. Will I be sent lots of promotional stuff from Waitrose next? Also, can I let my son use the card, as he lives very close to a Waitrose, unlike me? If not, it's not much use!0

I've just received a 10% off card valid until 26Aug12 - maximum discount value £500 - nice surprise and I don't have a 'mywaitrose' card either.:j0

I am very unhappy that I didn't get one of these cards - I shop there practically every day, I also shop there for my cafe and have a "my waitrose" card.
It seems very, very unfair that I get nothing for all my loyalty and another person on the next till (who also had a my waitrose card btw) got 10% off. I actually feel really cheated.
I asked about having one and was told it was just a random marketing tool. Surely that could backfire - if I had spent all that cash in Tesco - at least I would have had club card points.
I also miss out on the 5p off petrol offer as I spend about £30 per day on bread and items, and don't qualify for that either. Arghhh0 -
Just a thought but you havent entered competitions and these cards were maybe 1 of the prizes.0

I had one of these cards last year sometime, and i found that if you buy a reduced item, or a '2 for £x' item, it deducts 10% off the original full price of each item - so you can get some great bargains if it still works like that...0
