Energy efficient electric kettle

I heard there is supposed to be a kettle on the market that keeps the water hot for 30 minutes or an hour after it has boiled. It is supposed to cost very little to run, is cordless and the minimum water level is quite low on it (you don't have to boil more than you need).
Does anyone know what make or model the kettle is or where I could view/purchase it?

If you only boil the amount of water you need whats the point of it being an insulated jug, as pointed out it won't save you a penny.
There is some point in having a jug that maintains the water at a constant high temperature for the convenience of a number of users in say salon.
These have been used in the far east for years.
Found this one but don't know anything about its performance.

I am fed up with the wife putting 7 or 8 cups worth of water in the kettle for 2 cuppas, leaving half a kettle of hot water to wastefully go cold.:D. I keep a thermos flask next to the electric kettle. All unused hot water goes into the flask. When next brew required, pour flask water back into the kettle, then only a few seconds needed to boil. Works a treat.0

I have this
http://www.tefal.co.uk/All+Products/Breakfast/Hot+Water+On+Demand/Products/Express+Boil/Express+Boil.htm
Fill it with 3 litres of water but it only boils one cup, OK for one person as it takes a minute before it will boil another cup , so not so good for a family which needs five cups at the same time, though you could always keep the usual kettle for that.0 -
Considering the energy used to boil a cup of water, it's the same whatever kettle you use. The only possible savings here are from kettles that allow smaller amounts to be boiled, for example the ones with flat elements that allow you to boil just one cup, so you don't have an excess hot water left over. Keeping it warm for later is still wasting energy compared to just not have excess hot water, so I wouldn't buy an insulated kettle when there are ones that just allow you to boil the right amount whatever it may be.
However, boiling a kettle is very cheap, so it's really only worth worrying about the minimum water volume of a kettle when you have to buy a new one.0 -
I have a small travel kettle. I put just 1 mug of water in.
I measured the energy needed to boil it.... VERY pleased.... JUST 35 watt-hours... that is 0.035 kWh !!!
That costs about HALF a penny (assuming 15 pence/unit) :j
But a large kettle is far less efficient; it needs energy to heat the kettle; and there is the tendency to fill it too full.
A small travel kettle will also cope with 2 mugs max so fine for two people. HIGHLY recommended.
In contrast... a HOT BATH needs about 2 kWh....
equivalent to 60 mugs of tea
So it is BATHS we should economise with most0 -

Only heat the amount of water you need. When cooking your vegetables on the hob only use sufficient water to cover them, the same applies when having a bath.
The Breville Hot Cup looks convenient for the single user. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
