Do you work for a bank?

The people that don't think it's well paid and the people that do know it isn't. I work for a bank and I would be more than happy to work for someone else but which one?

I'm an adviser for santander on the front desk on £16k. My mate is a branch manager on £22k. Is this the norm fellow front line soldiers?

She is a manager for the bank accounts for large European banks and institutions and customers of the bank. She deals with everything they may need to run their account. Offering products and services to meet these needs. Accounts with millions in all currencies. Finding possible problems and what not :)

she is not an RBS employee but I gues this is similar to what she does

I don't think its quite the same, if you're a real RM you're not earning 26k...

Im guessing mid-office is a bit better, IT development & PMO is ok 40-80k. Project managers & BAs earn a bit more then that.

Really the silly money is for the traders (investment banking) or somwhere client facing in private banking / wealth management / assest managment.

How much does a REAL one get?
She is and she is on a basic of £26k. I am not making that up but I will tell her she is obviously not what her job title says she is and there is no need for her to travel to Paris for meetings and !!!! like that as shes obviously not earning enough

Oh yes well there is her £10k bonus and overtime

I didn't mean to cause offence, I have no idea what she does but to me the salary and the job "Relationship Manager" dont quite match, Even with her bonus I would expect an RM to earn double what she does.

Just picking off 3 job postings on jobsite.co.uk which actually have salary attached: 65k, 40-50k, 40-65k

Just do quick few searches for average salary in banking, they are silly amounts.

I am not offended and like you say you have no idea what one is or does so.

    It's acutally Relationship Support Manager

Got a link to those jobs then?

Hmmm, in asset based lending 26k would be low for some "real" RMs but equally depending on portfolio value would be spot on for some equally "real" RMs.
