Mortgage declined HELP

if the RBS was defaulted on pre the bancrupcy, and included in the bancrupcy, then the debt should show defaulted on the date that happened, and satisfied once the bancrupcy was discharged.
If its not and RBS are refusing to budge (which most lenders will TBH - Im having issues over Barclaycard at present), then go to the Ombudsman. RBS MUST show accurately - and there not doing so at present.
Even so - with a bancrupcy only 3 years ago, Id be surprised if youd get a mortgage (though Im bno advisor). Get the credit record sorted via the Omb, then find a specialist broker - OR save more for the next 3 years and try again, with an even bigger deposit once these records disapear from your file.0 -
Thanks for the reply Paulmapp. I dont understand why nothing else appears in the credit report that was included in the bankruptcy.
Anyway, whatever the reason, it certainly should not have been showing defaulting for the past 4 years!! Cant believe the stupidity of them. I have sent them a letter and await a response.
As with the mortgage...I think that's going to have to go on hold, at least until we get this sorted out, and until the searches that now show on the file have dropped off, then we may as well wait until the bankruptcy has fallen of the file a year later.
If they do not sort it then it's on to the ombudsman. No wonder RBS are having so much trouble.0 -
sorry but all these things (ie:gas, electirc, rent, food, 2 kids, etc.) are financial commitments in my eyes. I know what I would look to do (with that purchase price) work out the sums save hard and buy cash. Good luck0

I would have to say with a BR only 3 years old you'll have a very challenging time to find a lender.
Sorry but my money would be on no for this one even if you clear up that default issue.
Good luck though."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
I also thought you meant all outgoins were 40 per month, except I thought it was a typo and you meant 400!0
