court judgement - should i push to get it setteled

Hi,

I have a court judgement with the Next Directory from years back, I paid it off and got proof that I did, its still logged with the courts as being outstanding and not settled.

Its been a pain writing back and forth to get prrof from moorcroft and then they wanted proof from next etc....

It only has 16 months till it comes off anyways under the 6 years rule. ... is there any bennefit in paying the £15 to the courts to get a certificate of satisfaction.

i.e how bad will it effect my credit rating as apposed to getting it marked as settled?

any help appreciated.

Are moorcroft still chasing the debt? Settled is better than not on your report. If not chasing and you don't need credit then maybe worth leaving til it drops off.

If it was me I would make sure what they reported was correct and complain until they corrected it compensating me for time and postage etc.
