Hearing on itv local news this evening, apparantely LOCOG are talking through what happens if its a complete washout and perhaps if some out door events dont actually take place on days that you have tickets for. Of course they mentioned it would only be in extreme circumstances if any of the events were delayed but that would be an interesting one.
To be honest I have no idea what normally happens, say for concerts or even other sportings event perhaps like cricket? - do you get your money back?
Somehow, though I can't see that happening do you? LOCOG refunding?
Oh well, we'll wait and see. Fingers cross we WILL have dry weather.... PLEASE (but we all know we can never rely on our british weather).
My tickets for handball will be undercover but I have paralympic tickets for athletics and i think the section I'm in is not covered as its near the front.

I believe you get a refund for gigs that are cancelled, i know the kylie and jason gig that was planned was cancelled due to the whether and refunds were given, think i heard earlier that for any olympic events that are cancelled no refunds would be given.0

Events will go on through heavy rain and are likely to only stop should there be very severe lightning/thunderstorms, in which case I'd imagine events are delayed while it passed. I don't expect any events to be cancelled or reschedule unless under exceptional circumstances.0

It's Britain, it rains a lot, surely they have not just started talking about the possibility of it being rained off. Oh hang on it's Britain, yes they probably have only thought of it0

Athletics takes place in heavy rain all over the world and in this country.
Beach Volleyball they could put up a Gazebo type structure to allow play to continue.
Hockey takes place in rain.
Only thing I can see that would be an issue in rain would be Archery and in Paralympics the Wheelchair Tennis.
As for us spectators? Just wear a good Goretex jacket and enjoy it:-)0
