Hello,
I used to be a member 4/5 years back but I seem to have forgotten my log in so I have rejoined.:j
I had 16k of debt back then, I'm down to 2k on 1 credit card now but I've barely shifted any off that in the last year so I'm back for a final push to be debt free!!
I'm hoping to join some of the challenges once I've had more time to browse the forum, my plan is to be debt free by next April, that will be 6 years since my light bulb moment.
Looking forward to getting going again....wish me luck!

Hi Jo,
Well done on your achievements! I'm sure being back will give you that final push/kick/slap that you need! Not sure if your currently doing this but another dig through the cupboards for trash/treasure to sell on fleabay etc may give you a starting point.
Good luck with the final hurdle!
April make £5.00 per day challenge - £273.57/£150.00 :j
1 debt vs 100 days # 9 - £463.60/£10000 -
Well done on getting as far as you have done - you have managed to do really well for so long I am sure that the last few steps will take no time at all once you put your mind to it.
Try re-doing your SOA.
Make sure all your utilities are on the cheapest tariffs.
Keep an eye on the grocery shop.
Have a good clear out and have a car boot, list on e-bay, amazon, gumtree
Keep a spending diary
Do overtime at work?
Is there anything in particular that you think may have made things slow down over the last year?0 -
Thanks to you both, I know with the encouragement from everyone on here I can hit my target!

I'm doing a degree with the OU at the min with the hope of improving my future prospects. The last 10 months have been hectic, studying whilst working full time so I think lack of time has put getting rid of my debt on a back burner!
I'm off now until Oct so hopefully I'll be able to use this time to get plans in place, I'm going to sit down at the weekend and have a look at my SOA and take it from there.Debt at LBM (April 2007) £16000

It's so great being back here! I feel like I'm actually going to be debt free, so much so I've even had a glimpse at the mortgage free board!
I've done my SOA, I have a few things I think i can get better deals on so that should save me a bit but the good news is there should be enough left every month to make a good dent in the credit card bill
I've also joined a few survey sites, entered some comps and I'll be ebaying like mad at the weekend.
I think its even possible i might even manage to become debt free a bit sooner than April :j
Good luck to everyone else on their debt free path :TDebt at LBM (April 2007) £16000

Well done JoJo and good luck in the last little bit of your debt free quest :T
I find the Payment a Day (PAD) thread really inspirational and even paying off just the odd pence in your bank account each day really adds up. I also now have piggy banks for 5p pieces and £2 coins and they are adding up nicely towards Christmas :jLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
