  • hi i am a butcher i cook resh every day and do have the advantage of cheap meat but make a good relationship with your local butcher he should be kind enogh to show you cheap cuts of meat and you can get a lot of inspiration in a butchers from other customers it not like a supermarket were you wouldnt even say hello to your own mother people chat and discuss recipes(and other rubbish lol) and using yesterdays food will half your weekly bill i.e buuble and squeak,soup and curries can be made from an £8 chicken so that could be 4 days food for 4 people for around £10 what have you got to loose in trying plus its better food
  • hi also this may help a cheap cut list in my shop for you
    brisket slow roast, chuck(braising), shin (stewing),diced pork for somerset pork etc., chicken breast free range isnt neccesary in my opinion as is a lot more costly, mince(obviously), also ask about frozen products as should be cheaper, hope this can help you this isnt a sales pitch lol i am in same boat i have 2 boys which eat like gannets lol
