Nuvos v partnership pension for five month contract

I've been offered a five month contract with a public body and have the option to join either the Nuvos scheme or the partnership scheme. Salary is £40k per annum and I'm 42.

Both have employee contributions - Nuvos level is about 4% more than partnership contribution. As my contract is only likely to be five months, with Nuvos I will need to get a refund or transfer to my existing personal pension. I could also transfer the partnership pension or keep it open until later date.

So, my question is: for just five months which is going to be the best bet in terms of building up a pension pot to transfer into my personal pension - Nuvos or a partnership?

As I understand Nuvos isn't just pension it is other employee benefits such as death in service payments and so on, which probably won't be much good for a five month contract. I can't work out what Nuvos is likely to give back in transfer value after such a short length of time.
