Seen in a number of Tescos - jars of Robertson's Classic Mincemeat reduced to 30p with sell by date of May 2015 so good for a number of Christmases

I can confirm that this works. Even though the shelves are empty at the local Tesco it's still showing as available for 30p (until 20th August) on the mySupermarket website, so you can get it from Asda for 27p

How has this got such a long expiry date? Mince usually only keeps about a week before degenerating. Is it frozen?

This is the mincemeat that you get in mince pies not beef mince.
