It is likely to depend upon the bank whether it is anything sinister or not.

Santander almost always go to the underwriter and then an audit, so no major shakes. Halifax do not get audited as often and would be potential for a little more worry as a couple of examples.

    Which lender is it with?

They are unfortunately always likely to delve deeper if they see fit.

Have not really used Natwest for a while as their products and criteria have been changing too often and not really best priced on anything - especially computer systems!!

From memory, it is likely the worst thing they will do is request a few extra documents from you so so long as everything was declared appropriately you will be fine.

    Good luck

Given what you have said "nothing"

I am naturally nervous of someone with nothing to worry about, worrying. You have also edited your previous post to remove the content, which again puzzles me.

That said, if everything is above board then stop worrying.

It is incredibly unlikely they will check with the HMRC unless they suspect something amiss.

Very unlikely to contact employer in all honesty, unless they are very nervous but still unlikely and unless you started work last month unlikely to want to see a contract
