More info. Did you default? Why was it put on your file?
If it was recorded factually you have little to no hope of getting it removed. It will drop off after 6 years whether paid or not.0 -
i have paid the final amount after 3 months of having the default on my account, and yes it it registeredCash Genie - [STRIKE]£385[/STRIKE] --- £322.50 ---£0:j

So you didn't pay, they defaulted you, then 3 months after the default was registered you paid the full amount?
Unless you got it in writing that they would remove the default on payment in full of the debt, I can't see any reason for them to remove the default when you did actually default. They are recording factual information about how you manage your account, if you didn't pay in the agreed time then you've defaulted and they are entitled to record this information on your credit files.0 -

Sadly yes. Hopefully it is showing as settled now though so won't look quite as bad. The further away in the past these things were then it should start to make your credit file a little better.
All you can do is focus on going forward and making sure you don't get any more
Best of Luck
