a copy and paste from weatheraction public board
` However for the very end of the month ie 29-30th it seems the High will not be moving fast enough East to let milder air return, from South, as we had expected. Ireland will however be less cold relative to normals than NE England and it will probably be less cold at end Nov/start Dec over Brit+Ire than had been suggested by standard models on 26th. THE DEC 30d forecast update will take these observations into account.`

fuddle on 16th november but there is an update on 1st dec

I spoke too soon about the storms not being here yet....we now have a 'dangerous weather' warning for the next three days. It has gone absolutely black and the animals in the village are barking and yowling like mad now...

Will probably lose my electric shortly like my friends have up the North of the island. Off to unplug everything that isn't essential.....

Fuddle, if they get the bailout (they will only get it if they buy back their own debt bonds with money not from the loan ) almost all the bailout will go straight to the German banks to pay the interest. I can't see all the government debts being paid like the medicines and pensions that are owed.

The DM is hopeless - we've had snow up north for a while but seemingly to Mail readers, "Britian" ends at Hadrians Wall. And most forecasts don't help my village as we're higher up, we've been frozen solid for a couple of days here. Putting warm water out for the birds.
EDITED- interesting times tonsils eh?? !

2tonsils I don't understand why there isn't a communal fire pit to burn the rubbish. I would prefer smoke to rats any day.

Mardatha, where you live sounds very like my parents place (although theirs isn't so high up). Even though there's other dwellings about (within a mile) most couriers won't deliver there as they say they can't find it. My parents have no CH and only recently got double glazing. They bought a bath to put in (currently just a shower in the bathroom, and Dad was going to extend the bathroom to accomodate the bath as well) when I was in my teens, I'm now in my 30's. I worry about my parents health as they are both in their late 50's now with having no CH, and only a shower to help heat up (I prefer a hot bath if I'm cold). Their place can be cut off for days if its bad weather. Two years ago, one of their dogs had pups and one of the puppies didn't make it. Mum was really upset so we went over not realising there was a snow storm on the way. We left just in time and you could see the snow swirling behind the car. OH having grown up in the city had never seen anything like it. He now knows why we always have full cupboards. Means if we get stuck I know I have something I can cook!
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

I could live without central heating, but not without a bath! One of the great things about coal fires is that they give you tons of boiling hot water :)

I would like to know if you would like me to carry on posting the weather predictions from my friends? I am not sure whether they are helping people or not. Please let me know, thanks.

Yes please 2T but it might be a good idea just to post links not quotes, as otherwise there may be issues with copyright. There are some guidelines somewhere on the site about quoting from other sites/books and copyright.

Thanks, I will stick to links in the future I think as its easier. People can then decide if they want to read them or not.

I do usually give the source so I am not in breach of copyright, unless of course I am friends with them, in which case I ask them first if its okay.

Got weather from hell here and it's as black as midnight. I think we are in for a very disturbed night. Glad we don't have to go anywhere and have supplies in. I can hear thunderbolts in the distance and the wind is really howling above the village, it's rather unnerving actually. Going to like my candles and aromatherapy oil burner. No doubt I am not going to see the lunar eclipse like I wanted to tonight....damn.....
