Pity the poor people in Ramadi today whose lives have just imploded with the invasion of thier city by ISIS terrorists, not only are they between a rock and a hard place but in a war zone and having to literally run for thier lives, God be with them!!!!!0

So is this talk of "Brexit" a smokescreen for a "Grexit" and is it significant that there is a major (bank) holiday coming up in many countries.....I wanna be in the room where it happens0

IF, it is only IF things go awry in our lives for some major happening totally out of control we have the mindset and the network of experience and knowledge here that is an encyclopaedia of useful, practical, technical, innovative, possibly aeons old in some cases survival and life sustaining information and our greatest strength is that we have the support of each other. Life may be harder, may be interesting at times and certainly will have periods of great difficulty in it BUT we have US as a cohesive and supportive band of colleagues, if anyone can forge new lives from the old, it IS US!!!0

I think it pays to be prudent. I am deeply suspicious of deutsche bank's timing in voicing their unrest about something that, even if it happens, won't be for some time yet - and yet the Greek thing could be days away. Though Greece has been here before. Varoufakis (still sexy as ****) is being coy on Twitter - even writing in Greek (though obviously that can be translated)..I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Hmmmm, the late May bank holiday has 'form' - in WW2 it was its predecessor Whitsun when the grubbyment sprung clothes rationing on the populace.
I seem to know a lot of people with 23rd as a payday so bank accounts will be plumptudionous going into this weekend, which would be an attractive target if someone was thinking bail-ins. Mine will be slightly skinnier after I extract some of the folding stuff in the next couple of days.
Had big fun in archery shooting balloons. You have to hit them dead-on to pop them, as they're pegged on the targets and can get kissed by the arrow and move aside, and live to laugh for another round.
At one point, Teach told us there would be no tea and bikkies until all those balloons up there were killed, so we really let rip.:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Finally looks like a decent warm few days for me, so wish me luck in dragging the RV to a garden centre....getting him out is a bit like removing ancient rusty staples. My back garden - apart from a wee patio/slabbed sitting bit - is fabulously adorned with a load of baby turnip plants, 3 very poorly baby buddleias, and a dead baby philadelphus. Chelsea FS won't be feeling threatened lol0
