Morning my little busy bees :D
Phew its another seriously hot one here.

PP I'm sorry to read of your blight hun hope you manage to save the spuds,GQ wrote a really comprehensive post about hers last year when it struck glad to see she's given her advice to you it must be so soul destroying after lovingly tending them all year :( Fingers crossed for you and the crop X

I've been making redcurrant jelly, blackcurrant jam and dehydrating the last few summer raspberries. The new 'scally' does them so well but my lot have seriously scoffed most of the fresh this year, typical!

Crops coming out my ears, the only thing thats been pants are my pears, for some reason they just never set the fruitlets this year but I still have some bottled from last year so its not a disaster.

First early spuds were a bit disappointingly small and meager (swift and RDOY) but the charlottes and maris peer 2nd earlies are ridiculously huge to make up for it.

We've had a rummage in the maincrops and they are looking very promising..I've gone back to Cara,Desiree and King Eddies this year plus Maris Pipers and the Salad Blue ones.

Right,I'd better go water the greenhouse before the sun gets round on it,have a great day all XX

prepping stores are going to get a boost today - went for the Mirror to get the Aldi voucher and saw that the Star had a £5 off a £40 spend voucher for Lidl which is better value as the minimum spend has gone up to £45 in Aldi. The newsagent raised his eyebrows a bit - it's rather different from my normal reading matter - and DH went to wait in the car while I paid. But I don't care - lots of TP heading for the stores (lidl's TP is much better than Aldi's IMHO)
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Yes the Aldi TP is a rather flimsy. I will have to try the Lidl version. Normally the Tesco double length is pretty good.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

WOW some heat today was out in garden digging up last of baby spuds all nicely hiding in the dark ended up taking some onions out too before they got too big so they getting pickled in next day or so. pulled some beetroot still quite small.well I planted cabbage, turnip and beets for over winter my raised beds look all posh and clean and weeded within an inch of their lives. winter spuds are like saplings growing in that heat and my toms in greenhouse are fab im all maternal looking at them................wont be whilst eating them. too hot now so doing stock take on sugar and baking stuff mil gave me a massive box on wheels with lid for under a bed so making use of it and freeing up room in cupboards for the new preps ...dates from 2016 onwards. im a bore ! have a lovely day all xxx

I'm kicking myself in this weather about not getting veg in - but I'm still dithering about moving house
Meanwhile I hardly dare go out with the dog due to the heat and her bronchitis. Plus the man next door, who is a self employed consultant, doesn't seem to have much work on at the mo and is always hanging around like a bad smell. I know he is fond of the dog but I have an uneasy feeling that he is even fonder of my chest
Can you get burkhas in fetching colours?...

FOR ANYONE WITH A PAYPAL ACCOUNT

He Who Knows has just told me he's had a very convincing SCAM E.MAIL purporting to be from paypal. It's from info@paypal cash com
it says different computers tried to log on to your account and multiple password faliures occured. It offers a link to download a form to resolve the problem or 'help' link. Absolutely sure this is dodgy, HWK.

Thanks Lyn and to add to this I've had one this morning same sort of format (download form) for a tax refund from HMRC so do be careful peeps.
