:D The wendigo is about the size of a Furby (freezer is only 50 l) but as they always said, it's not the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog.
I wasn't aware they came in mini forms, check toes and and fingers then.
Was wondering how you'd fit a 7 foot demi demon in your freezer. (Though your descriptions of freezer tetris suggest your freezer is larger on the inside than its dimensions suggest.
I once received a telephone call from a Furby; it was being assisted by one of my zanier pals, but it was deffo the Furby - we'd met socially at her house so it wasn't a case of ringing up a stranger.

On balance, I'd rather listen to random carp from a toy than a telesales pitch. I still treasure earwigging on my Dad, back when we first had a phone in '84, taking a call from a telesales lassie.
I agree with you, though now so many telesales calls are pre-recorded I feel less guilty about just hanging up.
Far too polite to interupt a lady, he listened with growing bemusement and said But we have a fitted kitchen, dear; it came with the house.

FWIW, Dad's idea of a fitted kitchen in one which physically fits inside the walls of the aforementioned room. Their kitchen was (and is) 2 sideboards (1930s one and 1970s one), a small pantry, one wall unit and a saucepan rack. Men with my Dad's attitude could bring capitalism to its knees in handful of years.:rotfl:

We could do with more of them

    Here's an odd one folks:

I pulled into my local BP for diesel today, and noticed every pump had a 'sorry not in use' tag on the unleaded and super unleaded nozzles.

    Anyone else noticed similar?

Happens regularly at one of the local forecourts. Their margin between minimum delivery and storage capacity isn't that great. (and the minimum delivery quantity was increased a few months back). Another garage runs out of diesel every few months, in their case its cash flow as fuel cards aren't always paying promptly and the margins aren't great.

Tropical storm on its way to my area. Water stored, food stored, candles stocked, water purifying system ready, alternative cooking set up ready, solar lamps charged, bob ready. Thank you to all of you and the things I have learned from this forum! It may turn out to be a minor storm here but you never know. The best thing is that I do not have to go out to the stores with the crowds. We have everything we need and it's a great comfort.

:) We're glad you find it helpful.

Let's hope 'Arthur' doesn't ruin the 4th of July celebrations for too many people on the East Coast. Stay prepped and stay safe.

Today's cunning plan will involve working and then coming back to remove part of the contents of my bedroom (inc preps) to liberate a wall which backs onto the bathroom and is apt to have a problem when the bathroom has a slow leak under the tub, as I suspect is the case now. Last happened 2 yrs ago, think it's the copper cistern fill pipe, which kinks at right angles behind the soil stack under the bathtub and therefore has a weak spot.

Tell ya, having watched plumbers work here and in other homes, it's no job for a burly type. You need to be trim and wiry to get into some of the places they have to rootle around in.

July is starting the same way as late June ended; grey and about to chuck it down with rain. My tatties will probably be giganormous. One year I was harvesting the tattie patch which was visible from the street and a passing lout expressed botanical wonder to his pal Wouldja look at the size of those f*****g things!! I smiled slightly; it was uncouth but a genuine emotion. And one of those spuds did weight a kilo all on its ownsome.:rotfl:
