Stanley knife does rabbits best.
I know a funny story about those knives.
Nearly 30 years ago I had a tutor in design who had a friend who was consulting with a railway company in Australia to try to design-out vandalism opportunities.
The train company exec was telling the product designer that their worst problem ever was seats being slashed by Stanley knives. The product designer was cringing inwardly and hoping that they hadn't paid too much close attention to his CV as he was a former designer for Stanley Tools and guess what he'd done for them.................yup.
GQ , who knew the man who knew the man who designed the Stanley knife - you're lucky to know me, eh? :rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

This is making me REALLY cross as I know of at least two GAS power stations that are currently shut down because they are apparently uneconomical to run. But they've only been shut down since mid-2012. And as they are gas they should be relatively (compared to coal) easy to get going again. Ironically one of them is next to a site where there is planning permission for another gas power station which clearly isn't going to be built.
Given that we're shutting down nuclear and coal at a rate of knots, why on earth aren't these gas powerstations (same age as most of the rest of the fleet - late 80s/early 90s) being maintained/upgraded/developed to fill the short/medium-term gap before the French and Chinese build us the nuclear power stations we haven't got round to building for ourselves?0 -
greenbee, I agree about the nonsensical nature of what is going on. Sordid experience suggests to me that something (or several somethings) rather corrupt is going on.
Some people are going to make an awful lot of money, and the regular folks are going done over yet again. Look for the money and then see the graft. I suspect one of the angles being worked it to frighten people half to death with a spell of blackouts, brownouts etc and then tell them that the only way out is lots of nuclear power stations.
But I've always been a cynic.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

there's a certain kind of Morningside lady, isn't there? Prolly the one looking at me like I was something to be scraped off her shoe............
I've lived in Morningside… not for long, admittedly! Don't think I fitted in too well…
