  • Hi - my mum writes down everything that she buys, she only uses cash, she started doing when my Dad died and she culd not think where all her money was gong, so when ever she took money out the cashpoint she put it in the book and then wrote down what she spent. It is also a good way of checking your incidental spending.

  • I keep my debts and spending in the same notebook (different pages of course). Which also happens to be my diary. That way I always have it with me so no excuses for not writing everything down....

And whenever I need a reminder of why I "shouldn't" buy something I can just look at my debts .... .ack :)

I use just one notebook to jot anything down in and then try to put it intoa spreadsheet but I must say the spreadsheet is way behind the diary at present.

If you have more than one notebook at a time for different things wont it get to complicated?
