Hi,
Im hoping someone might be able to give me some advice. I owed £16k overdraft and loan with Natwest which I defaulted on in 2007. I have worked really had to pay it off and now owe less that £500!!! Last month Natwest took the debt from the debt collection agency (Moorcroft) who I have been paying since 2007 and passed it to Allied international Credit. Allied say I owe nearly £1000.00. Ive told them I dont owe that much I have a speadsheet of what I owe AND a letter ftom Moorcroft confirming that I owed £465.00 when the debt was taken from them in June. Allied say they were given the debt by Natwest and I need to speak to Natwest. Ive phone Natwest went through name, dob, address etc but because I cannot confirm the last transaction on my bank account (from 2007!) i didnt pass security and they wont speak to me. What do I do? Allied wont help me and Natwest wont speak to me. Natwest have advised me to visit a branch to sort this out but I work full time and dont work near a natwest so would have to take a day off work to sort this. Just wondered if its up to Allied to prove how much I owe as I have a letter from Morrcoft stating a different amount?
any help is really appriciated
thank you
