Toddler Group end of year gifts

Hi everyone.
I jointly run a toddler group (voluntarily) and we are having our end of term party next week.
We always have gift bags for all the children but I am out of ideas for this year. We usually end up with some sweets (where child is old enough) colouring books/pencils etc.
Can anyone suggest any other items we might include, the children are 0-4 but we can do different bags for different age groups.
Thanks in advance for any ideas :-)

What is your budget per child. Our grandchildren usually got a book from nursery school. Check out the Book People you might find a set of books that you can split to give individually.

I would second the book idea, and the Book People are a good company to deal with. It is a longer lasting gift, suitable for all children, and looks better than a cheap colouring book and pencils, for not much extra cost.
And most of all, you can help to encourage a love of books and encourage children to learn.0 -
My little boy received a book from his nursery at Christmas, it has been much better received than normal goodie bag bits and as the others have said The Book People have some good deals.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

how about little bags of fairy dust and pirate treasure,
i have recently started a few posts on these as im currently making some and wanted to get some ideas on how to make them and some wonderful people on this site have come up with some wonderful ideas(many thanks to all these people) and these include
they can be filled with large glitter, sequins, confetti or sweets and then a little rhyme on the front and you could personalise it with each childs name0 -

I would avoid these for a playgroup, as they could be a potential choking hazard. They would be great for older children though.0 -
