Temporary work (council tax/rent and JSA concerns)

Hi
Today, I’ve been offered a 3 month Temporary part-time (20 hours) role which I’m pleased about.
However, I have concerns about JSA (which I’m currently on) and council tax/rent.
When I sign off, will I be able to sign back on if needed to?
Here is my concern
I finished uni this week and was still live at home with my parents. The council put my income as 0.01p and started taxing my £16 a week. Going on JSA stopped.
So will I be able sign back on and how much affect will doing this role have on council tax/rent?
any advice or input welcomed
Thanks

Yes. Why not?greenberet1990 wrote: »When I sign off, will I be able to sign back on if needed to?
I have no idea what this bit means. The council do not tax you, nor do they pay your JSA.greenberet1990 wrote: »I finished uni this week and was still live at home with my parents. The council put my income as 0.01p and started taxing my £16 a week. Going on JSA stopped.
Council Tax and Housing Benefit / Local Housing Allowance are means tested, and based on the household. So it's unlikely you'll be entitled to much, if anything, because you're living with your parents. Likewise, I'm not sure what you'll get by way of JSA because you are unlikely to be entitled to Contributions based JSA (because you won't have paid enough NI while you've been at University), and the household income is likely to be too high for you to get means tested JSA.greenberet1990 wrote: »So will I be able sign back on and how much affect will doing this role have on council tax/rent?Signature removed for peace of mind0
