JCP "will be short staffed over the summer"

Employee morale is improved by family friendly policies, and the JCP is able to operate within these parameters. It really doesn't seem like a major problem, especially considering that it hasn't been mentioned in previous years and the JCP has had a recruitment drive recently. Perhaps this particular member of staff is just adverse to any change of routine in the workplace."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." ....they are now required to attend at some point during two blocks of time, be seen at the "front desk", sign and leave (there may be a queue).
The reason for the change - and the lower staff levels - is due to a large number of the JCP staff actually being term-time only workers and they will be taking leave for the school summer holidays.
Can you clarify the source for this information?"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

A "huge" reduction? Bit of an exaggeration there!0 -
My local job centre was doing a recruitment drive to cover this period. You had to do a weeks trial in the local job centre and that got you to an interview. If taken on it was to last 7 weeks or so. I ended up getting a job before it started though.Married 30/08/14 :heartpuls0

It's relative.
The member of staff who told me this said that there will be a significant impact on their ability to meet the needs of the claimants.0 -

and this ^ seems to conflict somewhat with the reasoning behind the term-time contracts suggested upthread - i.e. to retain skilled staff (if they can be temporarily replaced by short-term workers who have done a week's trial and who will be there for a short period).0 -
This 'quick' signing has been trialed at some JCPs around the country, it will be adopted at some sights but the vast majority will not be taking this line. 90% of JCPs will not be short staffed so this will not be necessary.
Despite the fact that a lot of staff have left the business over the last 18 months the holiday situation will be managed effectively so most people will experience no difference at the local office.Skint but Debt Free at Last :T0 -
...interesting to know that it is not nationwide.
For argument's sake, if not, why not?
And why it would happen in an area of hiigh unemployment rather than low.0
