location for 60th birthday brunch/lunch in Edinburgh - 30/40 people

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to plan a 60th Birthday lunch or brunch for my Mom in Edinburgh somewhere, but as I don't live there I am struggling to find somewhere without knowing the city well.

It will be for about 30 - 50 people. I am happy to cater it myself/with friends, but also looking at options where we could have the food etc provided.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where we could try?

You don't say how central it needs to be or what kind of budget you're looking at... Edinburgh has hundreds if not thousands of place to eat :beer:

If you don't mind being on the edge of town (South Queensferry - just under the Forth rail bridge), how about the Hawes Inn?
