IF 51K Mortgage - Want to Change - Help!!

Keep putting off, need to sort out a better deal

The rate I am on is now 6.65%

Presently with Intelligent Finance
51000 mortgage

£469 per month
£120 Overpayment per month
Total outgoing £589

Mortgage ends April 2021
So 14 years left (less with the overpayments)

Looking for a better rate, and not change Lender too often, as the fees to change would defeat the object.
Happy with the amount going out, and may be able to pay a few 000 each year to reduce debt more
Any good deals out there I may have missed, Martin says the fixes are droppin, unable to find them.

    You will definitely find better than 6.65%

    If you do not want the hassle of re-mortgaging you may indeed want to find a long term deal i.e long term fixed rate or tracker, which allow the facility to overpay if you want to.

    Many of these deals offer free legal fees and valuations, and some do not charge an arrangement/booking fee

    You've done the right thing by doing your research and reading MArtin's article, have you now found a good fee free whole of market adviser?

    Have you phoned IF to see if they will give you a new rate ??

    If swapping lender - remember to take all fees into account ( inc IF exit costs)

    thats not to say it will be better thyan swapping - just that you ought to check all routes

    Payless... Looking at avoiding fees with a relatively small mortgage figure and I do not mind fixing, need the flexibility to overpay as well...

    Still looking for deals
    Have not found a good fee free whole of market adviser.
    Do not know anyone/have any reccommendations locally - so will have a look

    Seems easy this one.

    Most of the high street lenders should be able shave about 1.5% off your rate. Have a look on the internet in a logical alphabetical search of the majors.
