Do I have to open a credit account to buy from Very.co.uk?

I saw some Converse trainers in Very.co.uk and I am thinking of buying them as I think I can find a discount code.

I am a bit nervous though as I have heard a lot of bad things about Very. I do not want to open a credit account. Is it possible just to make a one-off purchase or will they insist I open an account?

So has anyone had a good experience with them?

I'm sure that someone on here has said that they didn't open an account, sorry I can't find the post. I wish I'd've known that before I opened an account with them. I only did it as there was an offer on (which I never got as they were sold out), & within a few days they'd sent me a letter saying I had £1000 credit, which I didn't want. A few days after I had an email saying someone had tried to hack my account. This kept happening & I kept mailing them to close my account..... Try & order without opening an account.
